We use volunteers to help operate The Shepherd’s Table for the following tasks:

1.       Noon – 2:00 p.m. - Volunteers set the tables, make tea, cut cakes, etc.

2.        2:00 – 4:00 p.m. - Cooks prepare the meal

3.        4:00 – 6:00 p.m. - Volunteers serve the meal to our guests and help clean-up/close the kitchen and dining room

4.        4:30 – 6:00 p.m. - Volunteers wash and restack the dishes

In addition, we use volunteers to organize/rotate food in the freezer, mop floors, pick up/make deliveries, change table cloths and table decorations in the dining room each month and help with administrative tasks.

Volunteers can also become members of our Steering Committee. This group assists with special fund raising projects. Special Projects can include purchasing a large ticket item, landscaping, a special fundraiser (Fun Run/Walk, BBQ/Chicken Bog Dinner, Canned Food Drive, Car Wash), or feel free to present your own idea to our Director.
