Donations of food, paper products, cleaning supplies, manpower and money will be greatly appreciated as hunger doesn’t take a vacation, nor does it take a day off.
The Shepherd’s Table, a South Carolina Eleemosynary Corporation, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in Conway.
Our mission is “Sharing God’s Love, One Meal at a Time.” We do this by working to improve the lives of people in Horry County needing assistance, by meeting their nutritional needs. We have no requirements as to who we feed other than that person being present.
A typical dinner consists of soup, bread, salad or fruit, meat, rice or potatoes, vegetables, dessert and sweet tea, all at no charge to our guests. During our dinner meals, we allot for time, if the volunteer servers so choose, to do a short devotional and prayer. The Shepherd’s Table is open for lunch 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and dinner 4:00 p.m.- 5:30p.m. Both meals are served Monday through Friday.
Because we are closed on the weekends, on Friday’s during our dinner meals we give out our weekend travelor’s bag. We started these bags with our homeless population in mind. These bags consists of ready to eat meals, pop top cans of protien and fruit, juice, water, protien bars, crackers, and pop tarts. Everyone who has dinner with us on Fridays is able to recieve a weekend bag. (This is also where we insert our encouraging notes/cards from our neighboring youth that are too young to volunteer.)
When Horry County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, please call to make sure that we are closed.
